Dare to love LOUD!

The love of God has been poured out in our hearts
by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:5

What if this next year...2012, the entire Christian community decided they were no longer going to love quietly and in the privacy of their own homes and churches. What if instead, their love got loud...very LOUD? So loud in fact, that the entire world could hear it. What if it made the world turn its head to look...to see what all the comotion was about? What if in every small town, every big city, office, school, orphanage, prison, and home, God stretched out His hand of love through us and loudly touched the people there? What would a love like that sound like? What would it look like? And what would it accomplish in this world? Would you like to find out?

Join me this new year to share God's love - LOUDLY. "How do we do it?" you ask. Well, in as many different ways as God's unique children can come up with. Our Father is very creative, and He will give us ideas and opportunities. We can start where we are - in our homes, our work places, our schools; and take it everywhere we go. Yes, that means you and I will have to take chances, venture out of our comfort zones and be brave. I know God will use our efforts if we step out and trust Him with the outcome.

It would be a blessing to me and very encouraging to hear your ideas and what kinds of things you come up with to share God's love. I think others would like to hear also. Let's make 2012 a year to remember, a year filled with the love of God poured out on a lost world.

Link your blog here to give ideas or tell how you shared God's love this week.

  5. Wow, I had a similiar leading by the Lord. Mine was to start "ripples of gratitude" by using my photography and my blog in 2012 as, "My Year of Gratitude". This may not be living LOUDLY per se, but for me I believe this is what HE wants me to do. I believe that "ripples of gratitude", expanded many times over will be "heard" in hearts for Him. I so love your post and your wonderful idea of living LOUDLY for HIM this year. I am with you with my "ripple effect". I am so grateful for being able to read this beautiful post today after a morning when HE spoke so loudly and instructed me as to how my blog should go this year! Happy New Year and may it be LOUD year.

  6. After I posted this I got to thinking about how I could live it out as God brings people across my path. I asked Him to help me...to show me...to help me be sensitive to the people around me. Then I went to church today, and guess what? He gave me two opportunities to see someone's needs, and I was able to help in a small way. I know God answered my prayer. I know He desires for us to love Him and love others. I know He will provide many more opportunities, I'm sure of it.

    Keep loving LOUDLY!

  8. What a wonderful thought. I've never heard that expression of loving loudly before, but I think it's great. I'm praying God will show lead me to understand the concept more fully and then just do it.
Blessings for a loud loving new year.

  9. Shout for joy and praise the Lord (loudly.) He loves to hear us worship Him. Silence is golden, but noise never hurts God's ears!
